Dear Editor:
Many great songs have been written about friendship like “You’ve Got A Friend,” sung by both Carol King and James Taylor. Or what about the Toy Story anthem song “You’ve Got A Friend In Me.” These songs remind us that we are not alone. We can count on friends to be there through difficult, as well as good times. On Sunday, Fr. Kuroly reminded us of another friend, a friend that is always waiting for us to go to Him. Most times we forget and choose to go to other people or do other things to help us through challenges. Let’s remember we can also turn to the Lord to share what is on our mind and in our heart through prayer.
We had a busy weekend at St. Camillus starting on the Fourth of July with First Saturday Devotion. Thank you to those who made time to join in the beautiful service. Also want to thank those who continue to join us at the 11:30 a.m. Mass at St. Camillus. Of course, we need to also thank Fr. Kuroly for pouring into our parish an uplift in devotion and spirituality.
The St. Camillus Novena is starting on Thursday, July 9 at 7 p.m. in St. Camillus Church. The weeklong Novena will come to an end with a Healing Mass on Friday, July 17 and a Pot Luck Supper on Saturday, July 18.
